How long until I have my order?

For jewelry with no customization, please allow two weeks for delivery. For jewelry which needs to be custom-made (all Whole Ear Cuffs, rings that have been sized) please allow three weeks from order to delivery. If you live outside the US, time to expected delivery will vary by location.

How will my purchase be shipped?

I use USPS Priority mail, so that the package will have a tracking number at a reasonable price. If you'd like to use a different method, please let me know before your purchase.

Can I change my order after I've placed it?

If the item hasn't been shipped yet, yes! Please note that changes to the order will need to be made by emailing me directly at elizabeth@alloysbyarnold.com, and changes may delay receiving your order.

What is the return policy?

The in-depth answer is here, but in short: if the item has not obviously been worn, you can return it and get a refund within 30 days of purchase.

I bought something from you a while ago, and it broke. :( What do I do?

While I make everything with durability in mind, life can be hard on jewelry! If your purchase was made in the last year and the damage is due to standard wear and tear, I'll repair it for the price of shipping. If it's been more than a year or your piece had an unfortunate run-in with a garbage disposal, don't fret: I'm still happy to help! If this is you, the price for repairs/alterations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis depending on the needed services.

How do I make sure I order the right size?

Rings:

Ring sizing is best done in person by a jeweler. (Most jewelers will happily measure walk-ins free of charge.) But there are other options! 

If you have a ring that fits well, you can have that ring measured on a ring mandrel at a jeweler. You can also measure the ID (interior diameter) yourself by tracing the inside edge of the ring on paper, and then using a mm ruler to find the diameter.

If you're sizing yourself without a ring to reference, printing off paper ring sizer (many options are freely available online) is your best bet. Just be sure that the printer settings don't change the image size!

I usually have one ring of each design in stock, and the size for that example ring is listed in the product description. If you would like a different size, I will either resize the ring for you or make you a new one of the same design for your very own! Ears are very uniquely shaped things, and getting the fit right is a major part of what makes my whole ear cuffs comfortable and secure! Please use my Ear Cuff Sizing Guide to determine your size before ordering.

Do you make custom pieces?

Absolutely. I can resize, I can make versions of the designs currently for sale using other materials (gold, copper), I can add a stone to an existing design, or I can make something brand new just for you! Do you work in gold?

I love working in gold! Due to the expense I rarely use it unless I have a buyer waiting. Please contact me if you have an idea you want to discuss!
